Nothing gratifies Dr. Daphne Mobley (CEO of Daphne Mobley, LLC) more than supporting others as they overcome obstacles and achieve the professional and personal fulfillment they are seeking in life. In fact, Dr. Mobley can empathize with others that have these experiences. She applied career success principles to get around the barriers in her career path. At the age of 13, while she was growing up in the Bronx, Dr. Mobley began to dream of a future career alleviating the pain and suffering of animals as a veterinarian. Despite the discouraging comments of many skeptics she met along the way, Dr. Mobley remained committed to that childhood dream.

She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Cornell University and then received a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida’s widely recognized College of Veterinary Medicine.

Armed with the experience of having realized her childhood dream, Dr. Mobley proceeded to work with a number of leading pharmaceutical companies including Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline and most recently Wyeth (now known as Pfizer). At Wyeth, Dr. Mobley reported directly to the former Chairman and CEO and ultimately became the company’s Vice President of Corporate Diversity.

During her tenure at Fortune 500 corporations, she seized the opportunity to inspire a larger number of people than ever before. She coached entry level employees and executives in achieving levels of career success they previously thought were impossible. Dr. Mobley also spoke to international as well as US audiences (including non-profit, educational institutions and corporate organizations) and motivated many that crossed her path with ideas for getting the most out of their careers. As an Executive Coach and speaker, Dr. Mobley integrates her diversity and inclusion experience into her work with clients, which includes an in depth understanding of the career related issues that women and people of color face in the business world. She has taken that knowledge and coupled it with all of her energies to help business leaders, as well as individual contributors, realize their own visions of success just as she did during her journey growing from a young girl with a dream to become an influential corporate executive.
